Residential Childcare
We provide nurturing, stable homes for children and young people with complex needs, ensuring care that meets and exceeds the standards set by Ofsted and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. We offer:
- Therapeutic Residential Care packages
- EBD-only placements for emotional and behavioural needs
- Complex Care provision, including Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs) placements (New Complex Care homes opening soon).
Our Residential teams work closely with therapists, education providers, and professionals to deliver structured, consistent, and emotionally responsive care that supports healing, development, and long-term success.
-
Supported Accommodation
Our Supported Accommodation services help care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) develop independence, life skills and confidence, in line with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023.
Our team of professionals is on hand 24/7 to provide support to Young People living semi-independently in solo or shared properties in Crewe, Cheshire.
Across all services, we focus on:
- Trauma-informed, child-centred care
- Safeguarding and safer recruitment
- Education, life skills and emotional wellbeing
- Partnership working with professionals and families
-
Outreach in the Community
Our Outreach services provide early intervention and targeted support to vulnerable families within the community. We work alongside families, Local Authorities and partner agencies to strengthen relationships, reduce risk and promote positive change - helping families remain together wherever possible.

Fair Pay, Time Off and Real-Life Support
We offer competitive pay for childcare and residential care roles, with opportunities to earn more through overtime, extra shifts and progression. Your pay reflects the role's responsibilities, and we’re open and honest about rates from the start (check out current opportunities for accurate pay details).
You’ll get paid annual leave, with extra days added as you stay with us longer. We also offer company sick pay for unexpected illness, as well as compassionate and bereavement leave when life throws difficult moments your way.
From your first day, you and any adults (16+) in your household can use our 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme. That means free, confidential support for things like stress, money worries, family issues or just needing someone to talk to - available by phone, in-person, online or app, anytime.
After six months, eligible staff can join our Health Cash Plan, helping you claim money back on everyday things like glasses, prescriptions, sports massage and hospital stays.

Friendly Teams and a Supportive Working Environment
Working in care can be challenging, so having the right team around you really matters. At Homes for Support, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team where people look out for each other and managers are easy to talk to.
You’ll receive regular support and supervision, clear guidance in your role, and the opportunity to build confidence at your own pace. We believe work should feel positive and rewarding, so we also run monthly rewards draws, team activities and charity fundraising events that bring people together and make work more enjoyable.
This is a workplace where you’re treated with respect, your well-being matters and your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

No Experience? We’ll Train You and Help You Progress
You don’t need childcare qualifications to apply. If you’re new to care, we’ll provide full training, a proper induction, and ongoing support to help you succeed.
We also fully fund qualifications such as the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and the Level 5 Leadership and Development (where required), and we support staff to move into senior, specialist, and management roles over time. Many of our managers began their careers in entry-level care roles with us.
If you stay with us long-term, we thank you with loyalty gifts, milestone celebrations, and extra annual leave after five years. We want Homes for Support to be a place where you can build a career, not just work a job.
