Children's Support Worker
Support children with complex emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, nurturing home. You’ll work as part of a trained team helping young people feel secure, supported and able to thrive.

Homes for Support is expanding across Crewe, Cheshire, and we are recruiting Residential Childcare Support Workers (Drivers essential) to join our growing teams.
You will help children feel safe, build trust, regulate emotions and experience stability. You’ll support daily routines, school transport, appointments, activities, and therapeutic plans. This is a purposeful position caring for children and young people as they build independence, confidence, and life skills.
We have opportunities in:
• Therapeutic Residential Homes (4-6 beds) working in partnership with psychology professionals
• EBD Residential Home opening later in 2026 due to company growth
• High-Complex Needs Home (1 bedroom, 2:1 staffing) opening soon to support children with the most complex care needs
Whether you have previous childcare experience or are completely new to the sector, if you are reliable, compassionate and confident driving, we will train and support you.

We offer competitive pay ranging from £25,528.50 - £31,918.50, depending on qualification and sleep-in frequency.

Working Hours
Shifts are rota-based and include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where applicable. The pattern is two days' work followed by four days off on a rolling six-day cycle. The working day starts at 08:00 and ends at 23:00.
Who We’re Looking For
You must:
• Hold the right to work in the UK and the ability to commute to Crewe
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be over 21 (insurance requirement)
• Be reliable, calm and emotionally resilient
• Be willing to complete training and qualifications
Experience in care, youth work, security, support work, mental health, sports coaching or the armed forces is beneficial but not essential.
No childcare qualifications? No problem. We will support you.
